AFTER a successful trip to Karaka in January  Mangalore Park and Goodwin Racing turned their attention closer to home at the Inglis Premier Sale collecting three fancied colts.

The Oaklands Complex has been responsible for 14 Group 1 winners since 2018 that include Santa Ana Lane, Nature Strip and most famously Black Caviar.

After a great deal of research went in to analysing the catalogue and multiple inspections, the team was delighted to walk away with three quality colts by emerging stallions Holler, Wandjina and Palentino spreading across a variety of budgets all littered with stakes performers.

Most excitingly, the team bring home a Palentino colt who is a half-brother to Group 3 Champagne Stakes winner and two-year-old Flemington winner, Take Pride, who is closely related to Mummify.

See below links to pedigree pages, images and Racing.com interview with Reece Goodwin on why they joined the team.

Lot 580 – Holler X Ecrivain

“Eye-catching colt with some real size about him. Had one of the best walks we saw at the sales and we were pinching ourselves when be brought him for just $12,000!”

Lot 626 – Wandjina X Involving

“Very athletic colt out of a winning Sebring mare. The stallion is doing great things on the track and we expect this colt to be doing similar”

Wandjina X Involving

Lot 720 – Palentino X Shabtis

“The colt we had our eyes on a long way out from the sales and we are over the moon to be taking him home. By a boom first season sire and a half relation to a very talented Group 3 winning mare Take Pride, what’s not to like about him!”
